The Sacred Heart Church is a modern Church built 32 years ago to replace the old original Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church on Washington St. There is a large parking lot with handicap parking available. Handicap accessibility is through front entrance with handicap seating near front entrance at the side of the alter. The Church has a baby crying room and bathrooms in area of the rear parking lot entrance lobby area. The Sacred Heart School is attached with it's gym used for Church events and overflow seating for large mass gatherings. The rectory with Church offices, is next to the Church in a beautiful historic house with attached chapel. Attached to the Church is the original historic carriage house which now houses the St. Vincent de Paul charitable food pantry, helping those in need of food for many years. Father John is a fantastic priest who has been at Sacred Heart Church for over 20 years. Father John's Mass homilies are always a joy to listen to and always speaks to life's issues and how God is always there for us.
Sacred Heart Church welcomes all.
I am a parish member of Sacred Heart in Mt. Holly. The mass was good. Father John always gives a good mass. The church is always clean. 🙌
Great church Father John’s homilies are spot on. I also love OLQP in Hainesport a quaint little church that now has their Parish Center open for weekend masses. Father Joe is outgoing and personable and also delivers a heartfelt message. How fortunate for me to have both these wonderful churches to choose from, I’m spoiled!
Some very nice stained glass windows in the chapel. Nice campus.
I became a parishioner here back in 2010. Since then I have felt a deep love for this parish. I felt welcomed and there are a lot of different nationalities that belong to parish. I have to move to Texas with my husband and will miss this dear church and Father John. Thanks for the memories.
