I was lucky enough to have an opportunity to intern at Rocking Horse Rehab for my senior year and learned more than I could of ever imagined. From the very beginning I felt welcomed and surrounded by such a genuine and helpful staff. I was continuously educated about the wonderful services they offer and how they help each individual. I got to work closely alongside Kathy Lutz who has experience and knowledge beyond belief. I got personal mentorship and she even helped guide me to finding a graduate school meant for me. Not only did she educate while at the internship, but whenever she had an opportunity to learn something she passed it on to me. The way they treat their horses is an inspiration and the clients can sense the true love the staff holds for the horses. When talking to other students who went through the internship experience I realized how much of an amazing opportunity I had at RHR to work with such amazing staff and genuine clients who I will miss entirely when my internship is over. I learned things that I will hold on to for the rest of my career.
Two of my children have been receiving therapy at Rocking Horse Rehab for seven years. The days we go to Rocking Horse are their favorite days of the week! The therapists are very knowledgeable and create individualized treatment plans for each child so that he or she gets the maximum benefit from each session, while still making it fun. They are happy to recommend carryover exercises that can be done at home. The owner Sheri and her staff (Carey, Brittany, Ross, etc.) are very experienced and knowledgeable, and care deeply about their patients. They are respectful, communicative, and very responsive to patients’ needs, concerns and questions. And the ponies are adorable! We have had a wonderful experience at Rocking Horse and would recommend it to anyone.
