Exceptional park! Love how many trails their are that allow for the park to feel empty even if the parking lot is full. Ultimate fall get away to escape from the city. 🍂🍁
One of the most beautiful state parks. Multiple well maintained trails to suit everyone. Clean and safe. Best place around for fall hikes!
Parking fee $6 applies all days year round from 8:30am - 4:30pm
Very limited Parking. If you are visiting on weekends, prepare to park on the highway outside (which may already have a long line of parked cars)
Nice trails to walk. Plenty of things to see along the way, cows, sunflowers, lake. Watch where you step, horses use the trails also. Make sure you have a trail map or use your gps so you don’t get lost.
Any time you can walk in the great outdoors, do -- especially if you're tense and frustrated. At this time of year, Rockefeller State Park has the fresh air, the sunshine, and the colors of a Bob Ross painting. Do yourself a favor and take the hours’ drive from NYC.
Parking is limited for a very nominal fee, $6 per vehicle. The atmosphere is peaceful and inviting. I love walking along the paved paths and hearing the sound of pebbles crunching beneath my feet. There are several trails all kid and senior-friendly. Make sure your battery is charged, there are multiple photo opportunities. Swan lake was my favorite location for memory making. My family left excited for a return date.
The Orange 3 Lakes Trail is Really great- with varied terrain & some elevation, views, stream crossings, and nature all around. We like going south/clockwise from the parking lot at the visitor center
