Dr. Karpfen likely saved my life. I have been a patient of hers for several years now and each year during my annual OBGYN exam, she would remind me of the importance of getting a colonoscopy. She is so wonderful, warm, caring and personable. When, during my visit with her last summer, she realized I still hadn't scheduled my colonoscopy, she had her assistant work with me to get it scheduled. I had it done and guess what? They found a mass that required immediate attention. I had a colon resection & life is now back to normal. It could have been so much worse. Because I had no symptoms whatsoever, had it not been for Dr. Karpfen's care and concern, I likely would have gone another few years without getting a colonoscopy, giving the growth plenty of time to metastasize and leaving me with a bleak prognosis. Thank you, Dr. Karpfen. You are wonderful!

I love Dr. K. She has always listened to me and been very respectful. I was worried about my fertility and being an "older mother" and she told me not to listen to silly people and that I doing well. She helped me feel comfortable. I recommend her to my friends looking for an understanding and knowledgeable ob/gyn.
