  After experiencing shoulder pain and mobility issues for a few months, I started seeing Dr. Shelby. Her experience and background in the CrossFit fitness community helped tremendously, as she was able to directly pinpoint the problem areas based on movements that were giving me trouble. Not only did she provide a variety of techniques to help strengthen the muscle group, she also gave me a specialized program to follow to help get back to where I was. She is extremely knowledgeable with how and when to properly, and safely, reintroduce certain lifts and because of Dr. Shelby’s expertise and care I am able to perform movements pain free! I highly recommend Dr. Shelby, as she cares a great deal about her patient’s progress and shows dedication towards helping in any way possible.

  I came to Dr. Shelby at 36 weeks pregnant after having read about the benefits of prenatal chiropractic care toward the labor and delivery process. I am so grateful for the experience. Dr. Shelby is down to earth, passionate, knowledgeable and kind. She worked with me and helped me learn ways to open up my pelvis up until a few days before I gave birth. My labor (at 40 weeks 5 days) was smooth and fast and ended with me pushing my baby out in less than 30 seconds. I truly believe that my labor was seamless because of the preparatory work I did at Reform Chiropractic. I have been talking to everyone who will listen about how brilliant Dr. Shelby is and how impactful her practice has been for my laboring body. I am excited to begin my postpartum healing journey with Reform and will gladly report the results. For all of my pregnant folks in the New Haven-Ansonia-Waterbury areas, get an appt asap and let’s reclaim our birth experiences! Peace
