Reesa worked on articulation with my child and her style and approach was a great fit for him. I highly recommend Reesa for Speech Therapy!
Her style is relaxed yet inviting, and she made him comfortable from the start, which is typically difficult. She gave a clear recommendation on targeted sounds after the evaluation, so we were clear on the objectives for treatment. She was positive and motivating for him during sessions which led to his own motivation to practice outside of session. I appreciated her directions for practice at home and she was easy to communicate with when we had questions and discussed progress.
I also found her location and practice environment to be very convenient and calm, which I think is unique relative to other area SLP practices.
Let me begin by first qualifying that I am Reesa's brother! That said, I'd hardly take the time and energy, nor would I put myself out there, if I didn't know and personally experience Reesa, The SLP (as opposed to just Reesa, My Sister).
Over the last couple of years, Reesa has worked with both of my children (now 6yrs old) in both formal and informal settings (aka family gatherings). She has also engaged our daughter in virtual therapy through the pandemic.
Reesa's enthusiasm and ability to keep sessions, and activities, fun and inviting was obvious from day one. While she certainly knows my children quite well, I am confident that she works diligently to learn what is best for each of her clients and their families.

I would highly recommend Ms. Reesa if you are looking for a speech therapist. My 6 year old daughter worked with her for about 7 months and looked forward to each weekly session. It is obvious that Ms. Reesa is an expert in her field and very knowledgeable. She knew exactly how to work with my daughter to ensure success. Although the sessions are repetitive, she always found a way to make each session different and engaging. Furthermore, it was clear to me that she individualized the sessions and at home practice once she got to know my daughter and saw the best ways for her to learn and master the sounds she was working on that week. She was always very understanding and allowed my daughter to be herself and do silly things on their zoom video calls but was excellent about getting her back on track and focused. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of success we had despite all of our sessions being on zoom video calls. I can only imagine how amazing having in person sessions would be.
Working with Reesa was one of the best decisions we made this past year! Our daughter actively looked forward to her weekly session with Reesa, found joy in practicing the assignments, and made a huge amount of progress with her speech development. A big added bonus - these sessions also helped our daughter grow more confident and patient. Reesa also always took the time to write personalized updates to us every week, so we could be as supportive as possible to our daughter. Highly recommend!
My daughter had seen two different speech therapists before Reesa. Immediately I could tell the difference in how Reesa approached working with her! It was night and day. She involved me directly in the process, taught ME how to help my daughter practice, and we so wonderful with her that my daughter LOOKED FORWARD to her speech class every week. And Reesa didn't hesitate to tell me she thought my daughter was ready to keep practicing on her own without additional classes. Reesa is an absolute gem. My daughter is actually sad she won't get to "play" with Reesa every week! Thank you, Reesa!
