(October 11, 2020, 9:49 am)Perfect for first-timers. Homeowners with one item in the trunk or full-time scrapper with a truckload, all are welcome. Pull onto the scale and press the button and wait. It is a small operation and the owners may be out in the yard-- may take a minute for them to appear in the window and wave you into the yard to unload. The best part about Rag and Bone is they are a true recycle/re-use yard. That means, if you see something you would like, say, an old bicycle or an old wood stove, just ask-- because everything in the yard is for sale. Need a part for your old mower? It may be better just to buy another old mower because they have working mowers usually. If you like rusty metal things that can be re-purposed, this is the place for you. Plus, it looks like a castle!

(May 8, 2018, 12:01 pm)Great fun to visit and a user friendly facility. These nice people are really recycling--if you see something useful, you may ask to buy it. It is an iron sculptor's paradise. If you have an item to scrap, just pull onto the scale and toot your horn, someone will come to the window in the giant iron wall--it may take a minute. They will tell you what to do and you will end up getting a few bucks for it depending on its weight and type of metal it is. If you have a big load, you can really make some cash. They pay top prices for scrap. Your first trip you are a customer, your next trip you will be a friend. :)
