(January 5, 2023, 1:10 pm)If you don't feel like reading the whole thing, here's the moral - This is the BEST shop in Philadelphia with the MOST integrity - even when I leave the area I will keep coming back to Wayne (new owner) and his crew.
Around 5 years ago, after one of the chain shops told me my brand new car needed $1200 in shocks to pass inspection, I asked around and insisted we take the car to Quality Tire, which happens to also be down the street from me. The car definitely did not need shocks, and an hour later we had a clean inspection. I've been going there ever since.
Called in December 2022 to schedule inspection for my Mazda and was told the shop had new owners, and I asked who it was, whether they'd worked there, etc. Wayne, one of the original wrenches, now owns the place - I asked specifically because I wanted to make sure the shop was still being run with integrity.
Before I even brought it in for inspection, it became apparent something was really wrong with my car. Ended up being the drivetrain - Wayne put the car up on the lift 3 or 4 times for me with all my questions to make sure I knew everything I was looking at and my options. I asked around and got told unequivocally the price I was being given was PHENOMENAL and he had to be cutting me a huge break on the labor. End of the day, I drove what felt like a brand new car off the lot - and when it needed a new battery (don't talk to me about Mazda batteries) - Wayne let me take the car to buy the battery elsewhere bc he couldn't be the price, and then put it in for me.
This is the best shop around, their work is good and skilled, and most importantly they have INTEGRITY. I will never stop bringing my cars to Wayne even when I don't live down the street anymore, and I recommend them to EVERYONE within an hour drive.
