  Evidently there are new owners here. Thank the Lord. They always had great food besides ice cream and soft serve. But they're open and that is what counts. Went there this evening. Had a butter pecan ice cream cone with pecans on top. They even have multiple sizes of pup cups.

  ATTENTION: The Purple Penguin will be closed for the year after Labor Day 2021!
  
  This place is gem on the way to the Shore! It is located on the side of the highway on the way to the shore but don't let the location throw you off! In our family, stopping here has become a tradition over the summer as we head to the beach.
  
  They have a big menu of ice cream treats and hot food. There is no where else worth stopping on this stretch of the trip. We see the Purple Penguin and we know that we are about halfway there (from Delaware).
  
  Try their soft-serve! It's underrated. They also have really great cheesesteaks and burgers. Spend some time on the playground out back. I am so happy to see they are still open.

  This place is certified fire. Me and the gf got two penguin dogs and sweet potatoes fries for lunch and split a cone. It had surprisingly well seasoned fries and flavorful vanilla ice cream. You cannot pass on stopping here for something.

  Delicious! I had a scoop of salty, caramel, pretzel ice cream. My husband had a Sunday. Nice portions, reasonable prices.
  Friendly and efficient staff served us.
  Plenty of seating available near the service window, as well as the play area.
  Every time we pass by, we have to stop.
  A little sad to see the place is being sold. I hope whomever makes the purchase keeps up the great reputation, good food and great service!
