(January 26, 2023, 3:19 pm)I've only eaten here once and can't wait to return when the weather warms up! They're open all year, but I enjoyed sitting next to the water outside. Beautiful water view, friendly staff, and mouth watering entrees. It can be a little pricey depending on what you order, but it's well worth it!

(September 9, 2022, 9:53 am)I've had Proving Ground on my radar for a while now and finally had the chance to check it out recently. First off, I loved the layout and the atmosphere as soon as I walked in. We sat outside on the water and it was a perfect setting - you get a beautiful view with a nice breeze and plenty of seating around you. I love the live music and the space just gets prettier as the sun goes down with tons of string lights that create even more ambience. We shared the crab dip and the Buffalo cauliflower to start - the crab dip was deliciously creamy with lots of crab meat and the Buffalo cauliflower was just the right amount of heat. I had the dynamite wrap for dinner and loved every bite. My sisters each had the brisket sandwich and both loved their meals. I stole a bite and can definitely say it was a good choice. We shared a blondie sundae for dessert and there was not a drop of ice cream left behind. Highly recommend this spot for a nice casual meal and definitely cannot wait to go back!

Used to always go to the inlet cafe next door but after having been to proving ground twice, I think I’ll always choose to go here instead! Great ambience, waitress was friendly and prompt, and food was outstanding. Fried calamari and the crab dip were delicious! 5/5 will definitely be returning and recommending to friends!!

Reservation was made using Open Table app. After reservation was made, I called to make sure that we could have seating near the water. They stated that there should not be any issues, but no guarantee. Upon arrival, there was plenty of seating available. View was absolutely beautiful.
We shared the buffalo cauliflower appetizer which was very tasty. I had shrimp scampi and others had the scallops, stuffed flounder, and chicken pot pie. All were very delicious in terms of flavor and ambiance was very pleasant. Our waitress, Sarah, provided very good service too. The tab was split and after we left, I received a call asking if we wanted to adjust the tip as we had double tipped. We asked them to reduce it slightly. That was very much appreciated.
Would definitely recommend this place to others and would go back again.
