I am a longtime patient of Dr. Matteace at Pronto Medicare, and have found that the doctors and staff there are diligent, caring and thorough in helping to maintain the optimum health of their patients. I can appreciate the frustration of those writing the negative comments, but I’d like to remind everyone of the strain Covid has put on medical facilities. These doctors put in long hours, doing their hospital rounds before coming to their practices. The staff are subject to traffic delays like anyone else, and have been working overtime for over a year now, trying their best to serve so many more ill people. Replacements for staff are in extremely short supply, and vacancies make for longer wait times that no staff person wants.
It is always better to have an appointment. I have also come in for an unexpected, emergency visit and had to wait -and sometimes go elsewhere, if there was a crowd, but I knew that the staff wasn’t at fault, they were just backed up. Usually, I’ve been told if there’s a significant wait. My hope is that flu season will not add another burden to our overstretched health centers.
