    I contacted Dr. Wind and she and the Office Manager, Cathy, have dealt very well with the situation I described below. They each called me to personally apologize and I know it was a genuine apology. I appreciate their efforts to rectify the situation. Dr. Wind truly is a wonderful and caring doctor.

    *original statement *
    Tried to make an appointment on a Saturday to have my children tested for strep. I contracted strep back to back within the past 2 weeks so my doctor advised to get my children looked at because they likely had it, but were not symptomatic.
    I was basically told by the office that I was wasting their time and they had to save appointments for children who are symptomatic.
    I can understand this, but in my circumstance, my children still need to be looked at. Strep, even if asymptomatic, can be dangerous. I thought the woman on the phone was very rude and not helpful at all. This is the first time in 7 years of going to this office I have been treated like this, but it was very disappointing. I love the doctor we see here, but, am now considering switching to a different practice.

    I was recommended to Dr Yan by my OB-GYN. And I’m truly grateful and satisfied with her. First off, she’s compassionate, empathetic, caring, skillful and very professional. She’s on point. She takes her time and explains everything thoroughly. She even has a good sense of humor. I have never felt rushed through an appointment..whenever my kid/s are ill and I’m booking a sick day appointment, my child is asking me if she would be the physician caring for them.. she has left a lasting impression on all of us.. My husband speaks highly of her and believe me, he’s very critical.. In 2919 My daughter was very ill symptoms started over the weekend so we took her to Cohen children’ hospital , she was treated and sent home, but didn’t improve two days later we ended up at Dr Yan office who diagnosed my daughter right away… my daughter was prescribed the appropriate antibiotics and improved in a few days.. literally she was feeling better and playing in 48 hours.
    Dr Yan you’re AMAZING.. we need more physicians like you..
