  Tom Pilkington and his team recently helped us sell our Pacific Seacraft 40. The transaction closed a couple of months ago. In every aspect, Tom proved to be a pro: preparing the boat, taking appropriate pictures, marketing our vessel, dealing with brokers and interested buyers and closing the deal. The price we obtained was absolutely fair for all involved. I can highly recommend Tom and Prestige Yacht Sales.

  Peter Thorsby was my sales broker and helped me sell my Beneteau. Peter was a true partner who helped when the boat needed repairs (problem found during survey). As I was an out of Seller, Peter went to the boat, dealt with the yard, kept the buyer informed, helped me with pricing. He was calm, experienced and was absolutely wonderful in guiding me through the process. I was very lucky to list my boat with Peter. I believe the process would have me much more painful if I had another representative. This was not a “big sale” as far as boats go, but he treated it seriously and was always on the job. Top notch in every respect.

  I closed on a Tashiba 36 this past November (2018) using Peter Thorsby from Prestige Yacht Sales.
  
  I had been on the hunt for boats for months seeing over 30 ranging vastly in quality, size, and price. I went without a broker and did most of the research myself, but many boaters helped and educated me along the way which I am grateful for. Being in my mid 20’s several brokers that I spoke with that represented the seller seemed to be more interested in closing the deal instead of being completely upfront with information that they had regarding the actual condition of the boat. By the time I reached Prestige Yacht sales, I had already made several 8-hour drives to vessels that brokers had claimed were in excellent condition only to find the decks rotted through almost immediately. Also, on several occasions been told by brokers how great of a deal it was and that I needed to make an offer the next day as others were getting ready to put down the money on the boat only to see the price drop from 70k to 40k the next week after I backed out (one specific occasion).
  
  I found ALABARE a Tashiba 36 online where Prestige Yacht Sales was the company that brokered the boat. From the moment I called Prestige Yacht Sales and spoke to Peter, he was upfront and to the point. In his tone and the information he presented I could tell he wasn’t trying to hide anything and that he had gone through the boat meticulously himself. His description of the boat was spot on. Peter is a serious sailor and made sure I saw every inch of the boat. He was the acting broker for the seller, but through working with him, it was clear that he was watching for both our interest. Trying to complete the sale in November on a deadline was a challenge in itself, but Peter expediated the process significantly calling up various people that were dragging their feet in the process to get the sale completed. We eventually closed the deal, and the previous owner and myself sailed her to Boston on a brisk November day.
  
  There are many brokers out there that don’t have the best intentions, just as there are many people that look at boats who aren’t interested in a purchase, but if you’re a serious buyer, you should consider Prestige Yacht Sales. I have no doubt that if you work with them, they will not lead you astray.

  I purchased a Beneteau 40 from Prestige Yacht Sails in 2010 and from my initial contact on,
  , I have had nothing but the friendliest and most cooperative relationship with the entire staff. I relied on their many years of experience and direction when making my purchase and would not make any changes if I had to make the same purchase today. The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable and go out of their way to resolve any and all issues that I have incurred with my boat. About 5 years ago I purchased a 20 ft Grady White from Prestige and would not consider dealing with any other boat dealer. Through my reference, three close friends have purchased Beneteau sail boats from Prestige and all have enjoyed the same exceptional service and relationship with the prestige staff as I.

  I purchased my first sailboat from Prestige more than 15 years ago and recently closed on the purchase of my second, a Sabre 386. Tom at Prestige is not only trustworthy, he's also an experienced yachtsman who helped steer me through the process of purchasing a boat and continues to provide guidance on repairs, upgrades, storage, and everything boat-related. The kind of person who does the right thing - even if it means not closing a sale. Highly recommended.
