  Our 3-yo son had struggled with regulating his emotions and understanding follow through in the means of discipline. He needed help with finding his voice rather than throwing tantrums. In his short life, he has had speech intervention through NJ early intervention and is currently in half day pre-school.
  
  We tried sports and he was not motivated to play with his own age group (he’s slightly taller than most of them). I did a lot of research and it led me to martial arts. I did more research and I found this place. It had outstanding reviews and what appears to be the type of experience we needed for our son.
  
  We started in April. The evolution of his progress compared to when he started was easily noticeable. Don’t get me wrong he’s still a little boy who throws tantrums when he doesn’t get what he wants but it was not as dreadful as before. He is also a lot more vocal and confident at home when it comes to standing up for himself (sometimes a little too much). But we are happy he has found his inner voice.
  
  Master Cam works with him and really understands their needs for their age. He does not talk down to them but to them. It teaches them to be respectful as someone is respectful to them.
  I’m happy about the increase to two classes a week vs one.
  The minor feedback:
  -I would have to give is to just have the area ready to go with the drills (such as cones laid out) prior to the session starting so that it doesn’t take away from their actual session time.
  -As for belt ceremonies, it is a lot to expect the younger ones to sit through all the introductory speeches/demonstrations prior to receiving their belt.
  -There has been times when other interested children who do trials join the class and sometimes have found it disruptive.
  
  Otherwise, overall an amazing place to have my little one at. It’s been a great experience!

  Love this place. My daughter has been going to this place for over a year and has gained so many skills and great friends. She is also part of the leadership program that teaches useful skills to prep her for college and the future. The teachers are super friendly and very kind.

  Great place! Experienced instructors. They pay attention to your child’s growth, instead of just teaching commercially, like other places.
  Adult classes are well rounded, fun and educational as well.

  Very cooperative staff, very well spoken. It’s a small facility but offers a whole lot of programs.
  They’re very informative and answers all your questions.
  We signed up and let’s see if we like it there.
