My son has been working with Melissa since January and the advances he's made in the past 4 months are truly amazing. The tools and wealth of information she's provided us with have created a big difference in our son's movement, mobility, and body awareness. She's also found ways to connect, motivate, and challenge him even on days when he's not focused and doesn't want to work. I can’t say enough great things about POM Physical Therapy. We went to the Brewster location and worked with Melissa. Between helping navigate the insurance process and accommodating our busy schedules, our experience has been nothing short of amazing. Our little guy started at 5 months old and made exceptional progress over the course of about 12 weeks, graduating from PT with flying colors. You won’t regret choosing POM PT for your needs! I’ve been working with Melissa at Power of Movement since January of 2022. From the initial inquiry to present day, the office staff and Melissa have been extremely accommodating, communicative, and informational. Sessions with Melissa are welcoming, respectful, and she goes out of her way to bring comfort to her pediatric clients. She explains and listens to them. But most of all, she makes the physical therapy sessions fun while working hard. I’m thankful for the past clients that recommended Melissa and Power of Movement.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this practice. So wonderful that I am willing to drive 88 miles, round trip multiple times a week to have my son be seen by Melissa for PT and Alix for OT in their Purchase office. The dynamic duo often collaborate to best help my son. They work together to find new creative ways to help him develop in all areas - not just in gross motor and fine motor skills. My son loves the team and we do too! I am always given thorough summaries of sessions, including videos to see how he is progressing and how I can carry over the skills to home.
I also have great admiration and respect for Farrah, the most awesome part of the administrative team! She works tirelessly to help make sure that insurance is covering my son's services. She is very knowledgeable, determined and persistent. We have spent countless hours emailing each other and on phone conference calls to work with my insurance. Farrah's demeanor never faltered-- it was like she was fighting for her own child! What a wonderful feeling to know someone is on my side.
I am very thankful for POM and their dedication, love, attention to safety (Covid protocols, cleanliness, etc), support and expertise!
