  I have had one rule for my Husband in our 33 year marriage, do not ever (and I mean EVER) buy me an appliance to cook or clean with. He has honored that rule. I was so happy fpr the gentlemen at Powell's who assisted me in my purchase. The best service ever!

  Cannot give enough stars!! Our 40 year old Electrolux, which Steve helped us get 8 more years out of, finally bit the dust. Steve said he had the perfect replacement, a new Electrolux. I tried to have him show me the next model up, but he told me this was what I was looking for. Other shops would have jumped at the chance to upsell! The factory gave it a one year warranty but Steve personally warranteed it for TEN YEARS!!! Took it home and my wife said it was too loud!! No problem, went back and Steve pointed us to a Miele, which has totally changed vacuuming at our house!! I recommend Steve 100%!! Honest, knowledgeable, funny...plus he owns the building he is in. He is the only business there, so on street parking feet from his door is the norm!! Makes it really easy!

  I live in NY and have a central vac system that had a hose with electric running thru it, the hose developed a large tear and needed to be replaced. I called and talked with Steve, I was able to order a new hose from him ( made in USA) , it came within 2 days. The new hose did not attach properly to my old parts. I sent a picture of the problem. He promptly sent me several parts to see what would work. Was able to just use a part of metal tube he sent me. I called to ask how he wanted it sent back, all I had to do was tape it back up and put it on my porch and he arranged a UPS pickup! I highly recommend Powell’s vacuum!

  I can't say enough good things about my shopping experience at Powell's Vacuum. I am so glad I did not get suckered into another Dyson product from some big box store. I actually called Steve (owner) at Powell's to explore my options with repairing a 1 year old Dyson Animal that was not getting our home clean and taking an hour to try and do it. I dropped by Powell's VS shop just to see what he had to offer. I thought I wanted a Miele and Steve had several other models to chose from. He took the time to understand that we had 3 long haired dogs and vectored me right into a couple of options. I was able to test out the Sebo he recommended and I have been delighted with the purchase. Our house has never been cleaner and takes half the time. Being able to trust a shop-owner in today's world is a rare thing, Steve Powell stands behind his products, recommendations and customers. I would not waste my time or money buying a vacuum anywhere else. Do yourself a favor, go see Steve and avoid a hassle or worse getting ripped off! 5 stars!!!
