(November 12, 2022, 7:36 am)We absolutely love this place. I have 3 autistic kids with varying strengths, challenges, and needs. Positive Development has become our second home. The therapists are extremely knowledgeable and meet my kids where they are. I love how they’re not forced to do anything, but boundaries are still laid down. It’s really the perfect model. My youngest has made the most incredible progress. He had barely any spontaneous language (mostly scripting) when we started and now he’s conversational! The best part is, he hasn’t lost what makes him him while he’s progressed. He engages when he WANTS to and no one forces him to.
The best part is that all the therapies are under one roof and all follow the same philosophies. The whole team works together to be as consistent as they can.
My only complaint is that the wait to be evaluated and then matched with a therapist and receive full service hours is lengthy and frustrating. That being said, we came from a hospital-based therapy center and the wait was MUCH longer. And the thing is… they’re actually worth the wait here. 😉
