  Though it was very chilly when we hiked Poet's Walk and we didn't get an opportunity to trek the entire path, we still enjoyed our time there. There is a fabulous structure/gazebo made out of branches that stood at the top of the park where you could take in beautiful views of the Hudson River and the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge. There were also several benches along the path if you wanted to take a break. We saw quite a few dogs enjoying the park as well. We will definitely be back to enjoy this park in the warmer weather and trek the rest of the path.

  This park is well maintained and has lots of good vistas and historical tidbits!
  
  The parking lot is a pretty decent size for this park(gravel terrain) and it's basically a short hop and a skip to the park entrance(accessibility is good). Also, this park has two porter-potties right at the entrance.
  
  The main trail is of gravel terrain and fairly easy, (I saw)lots of families utilizing the main trail. There is a couple of other trails (one that leads to a "Summer House") that are a bit more difficult. Those consist of a dirt/rock terrain and can be steep, but if you're up for it then there are several cute bridges to see and lots of interesting vegetation.

  Nicely maintained area with good views of the Hudson. A bit over 2 miles for the complete loop with some steep trails in one portion (going to the summer house). Overall a real nice experience.
