Great place, the mechanics are nice and do an excellent job. If you need to wait while your vehicle is being worked on there is a nice diner right next door too.
I grew up on a farm where my father fixed everything, including our cars. My dad didn't trust many mechanics for various reasons, so when it came time for me to start using them more often I struggled finding one I felt okay with. When I finally found Chris (owner) and his auto repair shop... that all changed. I cannot say enough about the quality of their work; integrity; and excellent communication on what is needed and why, my options, and what exactly was done (as described in writing on my invoice). Prices are absolutely fair and justified. Thank you Chris - my dad is relieved I found someone like you.

I am a newly single mom of 2 very young children and the low tire pressure light came on my dashboard after I had filled a low tire just two hours earlier. I am not from the immediate area and was driving through to look at a house for sale nearby. I saw Pleasant Valley Auto Care and quickly pulled in, fearing I was going to wind up with a flat tire in an unfamiliar area with my 10 week old baby in the car and needing to pick up my special needs 3 year old from preschool soon. Chris Lerch, the owner, was busy working on another car when I got out of my car and asked if he could help me. He came out, and when I explained the situation, he immediately started working on my car to diagnose the problem with the tire and clearly explained what my options were. When we decided best course of action, he patched my tire so I could safely drive until I could have it replaced. He was very kind, courteous, clean cut, and professional. When I asked how much I owed him, he said, “Nothing. I feel like I did a good thing here and that’s payment enough.” This act of kindness was such a blessing on so many levels. He didn’t know even half of my situation (I didn’t tell him I’m completely on my own with my children, that I am barely making ends meet, etc) and he was still so very, very kind. People — mechanics or otherwise! — like that are hard to come by these days. If I am able to move to the area, I will most certainly use Pleasant Valley Auto Care. I highly recommend this mechanic to anyone local who is looking for professional, thorough, and honest auto care.
