Pleasantly surprised that the young girl doing the tasting was not only super knowledgeable about the wines, but she was super proud of her job. She exuded happiness and it was evident she loves what she does. We had a great conversation with her and truly enjoyed every wine. Can’t wait to come back!

(October 3, 2019, 5:40 pm)It's a drizzly Thursday on vacation, so what do you do? You don't whine about it, you wine it! As luck would have it, I stumbled upon Plagido's Winery and was better for it. A small, family-owned winery, they take pride in everything they do and it shows. Each wine was masterfully poured by owner Candice, who imparted her wine wisdom with each chosen option. Locals (aka The Boys of Summer) stopped in for a glass of their favorite of the month. It's so nice to know that it's not just a stop on a wine tasting map, but also a place where people come to enjoy the wines over and over. I love the familiarity of that. All their wines are made from grapes grown either on their property or from other local properties, without sulfites, and the quality showed. It must have, because I left there with a case of their wares. So now I, and my friends to whom I will gift some of them, will all benefit!
