  I have been a student of Petie Russo since 2005. I began with Pilates classes and am currently taking Gyrokinesis and Gyrotonic classes with Petie in her Kingston Physique studio.
  The studio itself is beautiful with reclaimed wood and many plants that thrive in all of the natural light that filters through a wall of many windows. The studio is large and feels open even with all of the Pilates, Barre and Gyrotonic apparatus Petie has. She has it arranged beautifully, and even built in places for mats and small equipment to be stored nearly. The audio is always clean and fresh. Sometimes Petie will have essential oils diffusing, which is so very lovely and calming.
  The physical space is amazing, as I have described, and is the perfect setting for the fantastic classes taught here. Petie is remarkable. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the musculoskeletal and nervous systems of the body. Petie explains the rational for each exercise and can relate them to everyday activities and movements. She "fine tunes" each student's position and movement to help them complete the exercise optimally and without injury. I have found that any pain or minor injuries I have before beginning class are dispelled by the end of my session with Petie. She can intuitively adapt movements or exercises for each person in class. Oftentimes Petie will add or change an exercise on the spot to meet the immediate needs of her class. She has endless examples she uses to illustrate quite complex positions and movements so everyone in class will have a clear understanding of what and why we are doing them. I cannot say enough about what an excellent teacher Petie Russo is. She is very professional in class at all times. She stays on task and focused so you will use every minute of your class time to work out. But we also laugh and have fun together!
  I recommend Physique Kingston to anyone who wants a wonderful highly skilled instructor in Pilates, Barre, Gyrotonic or Gyrokinesis. You will become stronger, longer, leaner, and more connected to your own body!
