  I bought a beautiful relic custom telecaster crafted and built by Phil. I have owned several Fender & G&L tele's and casters over the last 25 years and Phil's custom tele is by far the most responsive, bright and the relic finishing makes it one of a kind. Highly recommend talking to the "guitar master" Phil Forbes and have him build your dream custom telecaster.

  I’ve known Phil for over twenty years - lessons, purchases, repairs, you name it.
  Always fair and a consummate professional willing to offer advice and help however he can. Check out his custom tele’s - they’re great and it would be tough to find a better value for what you’re getting.
  Also happens to be one of the finest players/teachers I’ve come across!

  I've been playing guitar for a long time, but felt I was stuck in a rut. Only three lessons later from Route 7 later and I can already notice a big difference in my playing. Not teaching to a particular style, Phil's helped to expand my fluency on the fretboard and my options of "stuff that works". I'm excited about my potential again and intend on sticking with the lessons.

  Very happy with the customer service and staff at Route 7 Music. They are a great bunch of guys, and our daughter has learned so much from Gary on drums. She loves the lessons, looks forward to them and actually likes practicing. Thanks for making learning an instrument a positive, fun experience!

  This place is great. Their instructors are knowledgeable, funny. It's a warm, active place. My boyfriend has had guitar lessons with Phil (owner), and been taking singing lessons from Pat for years. His kids have been taking guitar and drum lessons from Phil and Gary for at least 10 years. I take singing lessons from Pat periodically.
  
  The review by "A google user" that starts out "I called the store" and ends with "Go see East Coast Music' was likely written by an East Coast employee - note it was written FIVE years ago. And by the way, they went out of business.....while Route 7 has thrived.
