  Ours was a very complicated case to unpack requiring a clear understanding of FMLA, Medicare, COBRA, the insurance company and service provider, and also good negotiating skills to resolve a billing dispute between the hospital and insurance company that left us responsible for a large unexpected medical bill. Both AnnMarie and Stephanie came up with several options for us to consider and then AnnMarie stepped in to negotiate on our behalf. She was persistent despite being told that the hospital does not negotiate bills with patients or their advocates, and then drew upon her past experience to ask whether a preauthorization for services had been obtained. The net result of that question is that the hospital substantially reduced our financial obligation. As for dealing with Patient Advocators, my experience is that this team is very focused and detailed oriented, keeps its clients well informed, includes them in the decision making process and cares deeply about getting the best possible outcome for them. I have no hesitation in recommending this company to family and friends or using their services again. Thank you AnnMarie and Stephanie!

  5 stars are not nearly enough to describe the quality of compassion, expertise, understanding, and assistance we received from AnnMarie! During our mother's agonizing cancer illness, she was vitally indispensable, translating complicated doctor speak, diagnoses, and prognoses, untangling medication quagmires, helping us to find quality home aides, massage therapy, pain management experts – she even fired my mother's verbally hurtful (and inconsequential) oncologist and got her reassigned to the head of the department IN ONE DAY. I cried to AnnMarie, laughed with her, marveled at her breadth of experience and capacity for calm in the storm. When our mom was "stuck" in the ER for five days during COVID without proper care, AnnMarie sent her experienced ER nurse in to find answers and get her freed to go home. We will be forever grateful to have had AnnMarie on our team for this journey - I can't recommend her highly enough.

  As an RN patient Advocate I have worked with AnnMarie on several clients and they have had only glowing reports of their interactions with her. She is kind, compassionate, resourceful and intelligent. The clients I know that have worked with AnnMarie have told me they consider her like a member of their family who has helped them through a medical nightmare with kindeness and compassion.

  AnnMarie was diligent, thoughtful, professional and quick at resolving a billing issue that we had worked on for almost a year with no resolve. I had never had a need for a patient advocate and didn't know what to expect, but I highly recommend the service and AnnMarie. What had become a constant negative situation for a year after a critical medical crisis AnnMarie resolved and removed from our lives. Thank You to Patient Advocators!!
