We switched from another cyber school to Palcs last year and have loved it! It really is a great school and an upgrade from Reach by far. My kids are thriving and learning because they are actually being challenged. They actually enjoy learning and don't feel bored with the curriculum like our previous school experience. The only downside we have experienced is the special education department help & support is definitely lacking. The special ed teacher we were given has made no effort to help us whatsoever. I stopped reaching out because I realized it was going no where after several attempts to work something out that would work for us. They have definitely provided exactly what the IEP stated but I feel like the teacher communication and support is lacking. The teacher's are great don't get me wrong but I just expected more for my child to succeed. I have had to make adjustments for my child myself, which is fine but I definitely expected more help & support from them nonetheless. Great school overall but I will be looking elsewhere for my child with special needs for the upcoming school year. My oldest will stay with palcs for now since we find it to be a great fit for them!
This school has been wonderful. They took the time to assist me through registration issues, quickly communicating with me especially when my local school district would not return my calls. They have worked endlessly to get equipment and materials to the students even through the pandemic. They offer elective classes like coding, foreign language, and things like art and music for no additional cost. Not to mention that the school is free as well which is a huge blessing. I started my child off in a private school, looked at public school and came to PALCS. We are so grateful for a wonderful school and will be returning next year. I give this school an A+
We have nothing but wonderful things to say about PALCS! It is our first year and our daughter is in kindergarten. The teachers are nothing short of amazing and they all have the patience of saints! The work given and the amount of work is appropriate for a kindergarten student. And even more importantly, she is learning so much and retaining information so much better then I ever could have imagined. My daughter feels connected and so do I. We always know what is going on and the teachers are great at communicating. Overall, it has been a wonderful experience and it has by far met our expectations!
Our first year at PALCS and we have been extremely impressed thus far. This is our first experience with a cyber school - I appreciate their organization and communication. All questions are answered in a timely manner. We have yet to experience major technical issues (and any minor issues have been addressed quickly and communicated immediately). They do a great job encouraging kids to get involved in the various clubs and online activities outside of the virtual classrooms as well. It’s been a tough year for all kids, parents and teachers - I appreciate all that PALCS has done to make the transition easier!
Our experience with PALCS has been amazing. We switched to this school in the summer because we needed more consistency than other options offered. The school was fantastic about getting things moving to get the kids enrolled in a decent time frame and also to get their equipment in a reasonable time frame. The staff has gone above and beyond to make sure that the kids are adjusting well and make themselves available at all hours to work with the students. A much needed positive experience for all the year has thrown our way.
