Dr.Rackovsky is extremely knowledgeable, professional and truly focused on resolving your gastrointestinal issues. He took the time to answer all my questions and explained it in such a clear way that helped me understand how the stomach and small intestines functions. He’s the #1 doctor in the gastrointestinal field, in my opinion, and you will be in great hands as a patient with his care.
This may be a bit verbose so my apologies in advance.
To provide a short background - I started freaking out when I realized that within the course of about 2-3 months last year, I very rapidly lost 30+lbs and wasn't able to eat anything at all without being bed ridden in the worst pain for weeks, ultimately leading to job loss and lowest point in my life. I made appointments with 3 different doctors near me who for the most part made me feel ridiculous when I described the type of pain I was experiencing as well as my concerns that something serious may be at play, even being laughed at on one occasion.
Fast forwarding a bit in finally booking with Dr. Rackovsky, it was my last hope, yet possibly the best decision I've made in my life. First, we found my h pylori was doing a number on my body and was the cause of a lot of the pain I was in - Dr. Rackovsky listened, didn't judge me or make me feel like I was overexaggerating like the others did. He jumped right into action, providing me with an antibiotic treatment course that ended up completely eradicating the infection. Unfortunately afterwards, I was still feeling pain which did unfortunately lead to a diagnosis of Crohn's disease after the appropriate testing and although that sucked to hear, I at least finally had an answer after over a decade of sharp debilitating daily gut pain. Dr. Rackovsky made me feel like I mattered and not like some patient he wanted in and out as quickly as possible - he patiently listened and documented my concerns, asking the right questions and tackled this with a purely scientific/data-based approach instead of guessing/throwing things at the wall as my past doctors did. As bummed as I was about the diagnosis, he quickly recommended a treatment plan and wasted no time setting me on the road to finally getting some relief. The special anti-TNF biologic treatment I was to undergo admittedly scared me a bit, but during my initial infusion center visit, everyone was extremely kind and made me feel at ease about everything, not to mention being always such a huge pleasure to deal with in my first and each subsequent appt. It's about 8+ months later now and I have essentially zero of the issues with my stomach I used to. I gained all of my normal weight back, am eating normally again and on the road to finding a new job. I know many folks may tend to overexaggerate when it comes to doctors, but I can confidently say Dr. Rackovsky saved my life at 33, and I will always be grateful for his knowledge, patience, professionalism, care, lightheartedness and support through the process. He isn't one to just guess or speculate about what's going on and as much grief as he gives me about my self-googling symptoms (😉) and trying to get answers from the internet on my own, I slowed that down the more my trust in him grew. Despite having a strong personal distrust in doctors based on past experience, I now know he is someone who is here for me and who I can depend on where next steps are never based on a guess, but rather the facts. Although healthcare obviously isn't free, the investment in my health was the best money I've spent in my life, and because of Rackovsky I am able to live an essentially normal life. I cannot thank him and his team enough for helping me get my life back, including his wonderful front office staff who puts up with my sometimes tardiness or late rescheduling, never treating me rudely. Everyone at both the Hackensack center (especially Diane Nardine/Alyssa Parrish + admin staff) & Wayne office +staff are among the most understanding/caring teams I have had the pleasure of dealing with, which is SO refreshing when you've dealt with the worst previously. To conclude - if you have the need, make an appointment and thank me later...but not too many of you as I'd still like to be able to get appointments 🙂

Very clean office. Staff was very polite and helpful. Dr Rackovsky was phenomenal. He was very compassionate, very welcoming, and very understanding of my situation. He answered all my questions in a way that I could understand and gave me exact directions as of what the next step was.I highly recommend him to anyone he’s got to be the best around.
