Charlie Diamond: I had a strong vision and notion of what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it for my album. Tracy brought so much more to the table though. Inside and outside of the direct album process. He was mellow enough to let me do things my way, but was experienced enough to mention something if he felt it was off or could be better. Even when he did that I still had the reigns for the project. There was no pushiness. Just a feeling of being taken care of. If I still wanted the line played that way or lyric sung that way after his notation on it he let me have my way. Accommodating, understanding, professional, but still just a friendly guy I could sit and talk with. I felt very comfortable in the studio around him recording. Because, the recording process can be rather personal and indepth. You want to be able to feel that way around someone so you can bring the best of the art out. Plus, beyond recording he gave me advice on the best places to have CDs made up, merch, and even put together a radio campaign for me. It's essentially a one stop shop that focus on recording, but can help lead you further on your journey if you so choose to do so. I usually write late at night when the stars are out.... And sometimes that's how I like to record. Tracy would close the curtains for me and put on his string lights around the walls so I felt like I was under the stars and at home. That's just the kind of guy he is and the kind of feel the studio has.

Beautiful studio in a gorgeous location! It’s nice to record in such a tranquil space and really helps with the creative process. Tracy is a very gifted musician and producer and is amazing at bringing your ideas to life!

My experience recording at On Deck Sound Studio was a very positive one for many reasons. First, the sound engineer Tracy is really great to work with. He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of recording, and can adapt to any project you bring him. I recorded two jazz quartet albums at his studio and in the small space was amazed how well they turned out. Only thing I will say if you want to bring a lot of people to record in the same room at the same time you might have to look elsewhere because it is not big enough in that sense. However, if you want to multi track a lot of musicians then it’s perfect. The mixing and mastering process was really great with tracy as well, as he help polish up my recordings, and was easy to communicate with effectively on what I was looking for. Overall i highly recommend on deck sound studio for your next project.

I came to On Deck Sound Studio many years ago. I was looking for a studio that could help me with my songwriting skills. I met with Tracy who was very informative. We discussed the writing process and ways he could help me. I took all the information home with me. It would be several years later that I would seriously revisit my songwriting path. I revisited the studio in 2016 with a song in hand and we have been working together ever since. Tracy not only offers me writing sessions but all that is needed to complete my writing projects.
The sessions that he offers on song writing has helped me tremendously. He helps with the composition and plays all the instruments on many occasions. When he can’t he privides me professional studio musicians. Tracy also has a realm of vocalists that he matches up to a perticular song. I am always pleased with the finished project. I feel as though this studio is so diverse in meeting all of an artists needs. I have had many videos for my songs shot by Tracy himself and always designed to fit my budget. He is very flexible in the services he provides. Weather you are a beginner or the most experienced Tracy treats each musical endeavor as if it were the only one in the studio at the time. I will return to On Deck Sound Studio and I highly recommend his services to all. He is a true old school business man. When you walk into his studio, you are made to feel at home.

On Deck Sound Studio. What can I say, other than making my most recent album there, it has been right up there with the very best recording experiences of my entire career and I have worked in some the best, most famous studios in NYC and elsewhere.
The space is warm, comfortable, acoustically sound and the gear is excellent. Just the right stuff to get the job done. But it’s Tracy’s demeanor, engineering skills, musicianship and experience as a songwriter that make it all come together. I recommend On Deck for anything from a full-scale album project down to simple demos for an up-and-coming singer/songwriter and all points in between. Five Stars.
