(June 17, 2023, 8:42 pm)Nice place. Staff was friendly and competent. Food was excellent. Apps, pies, and entrees were all great. Portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming. Ok, the meatball grinder was overwhelming. Live music was good and at the perfect volume. Loud enough to hear and enjoy but not so loud that we couldn't converse. Overall, a great dining experience.

(May 17, 2023, 11:15 am)Food was amazing. Bit pricey but worth it. We were there near closing so a few items got forgotten/mixed up. I spent some years in food service so this is not unexpected. I give them a pass. Definitively going to try again at a better time so I can boost up that service star rating.

(March 18, 2023, 10:34 pm)What a great time we had at Olives and Oil! 11 of us celebrating my husband's birthday. We stayed well after a delicious dinner with excellent fried calamari and eggplant fries! We each had a wonderful dinner from pizza to steak and a few cocktails. There was a young girl singing who was so talented. She had the whole bar going! Very good service and very friendly. Will be going back here in Seymour!!!!

(December 27, 2022, 7:43 pm)It's amazing that I managed to get any pictures at all with how fast we were shoveling food into our mouths. This spot is our new local favorite! Every single piece of our meal was absolutely outstanding. Our server Soleil was extremely friendly and charismatic. You can tell she wants to be there to get you through a great meal, and she absolutely delivers. We will absolutely be back, but it might take a month for us to go through our leftovers! The only thing I would say they should change is the huge portions. The four of us barely made it through a quarter of our entrées, because they were just that extreme. It's just too much food, but man is it tasty. 100% a must stop.
**Update** 2 months later...
The above review still stands for their apps, entrees and desserts. I am disappointed in their pizza, though. We ordered a margherita and a half pepperoni/half plain. Neither pie had much flavor and both were very dry.
It's absolutely still one of our favorite spots to go, but I'll stick to their fabulous entrees over the pizza. -

Definitely more upscale than your typical pizzeria, but I would not say it's at a place where $16 for a burger and $19 for a pasta entree feels like a good value. Our meal for $4 pushed us over $100, with two of those being kids meals. Still the atmosphere is really nice. And the location is just out of the way enough to be fun to visit.
