Great providers. Pharmacist Joe and his assistant are awesome!
Calling for and setting appts has to improve. Wait time on phone is much too long.
I was quite hesitant to start going to OHI. County clinics have been notoriously horrible over the years. Put the cards I've been dealt made it so I had to go there. I have to tell you some of the best care I have gotten in my life. It is basically a nurse practitioner that you're going to see, nurse practitioners have been a wonderful asset for 20 years, in Ocean County anyway. The first NP I saw was Sally Johnson...she took the time to listen to my issues and my questions. Wonderful experience. Now I see Jessica Sorensen. I was afraid she would tell in comparison to Sally Johnson. But, once again I was so pleasantly surprised as she listened to me and took care of each problem that I had. I had a stroke a year and a half ago and so I have a stack of problems. Takes long to get an appointment nor does it ever take long in the waiting room. Every once while it get backed up as does any doctor's office but it's not a regular thing. Give them a shot
I just moved back down to the are and after 6 months, I was tired of driving an hour and a half to all my doctors so decided to look for new ones closer to my house. My experience here was awesome from the initial phone calI to the visit. There was nothing to complain about. When I walked in, the guy checking me in was nice, the girls at the front desk were very nice. I was in the waiting room less than 10mins and waited in the back less than 5mins. My nurse, Gabby was awesome. The NP, Jessica came in and I loved her right away. I have an extensive medical history and alot of meds to go through so I didn't expect this to be a quick visit but it was under 30mins which is really good for me, tbh. Jessica listened to every word I said and I was so comfortable with her very quickly. I felt like I knew her forever. I've had a few doctors that didn't listen to my concerns so I'm very cautious and I really believe I will not have that problem with Jessica. She even got me to talk about certain things that I never talk about but made me feel okay addressing it. Also, I've had an issue since I was 11(now 41) that nobody could figure out or even give me an idea of what it may be. I asked Jessica about it and she gave me something. Not sure if its the actual issue but she gave me something to work with. Nobody has done that in the past 30 years! Thank you Jessica for being amazing and I truly hope it continues this way because I'm tired of switching doctors, lol. I also needed to get blood work done so I had to sit in the waiting room again. Less than 5 minutes later, I was called back. The phlebotomist(can't remember her name) was really nice. She listened to my concerns about my veins, didn't stick me in places that I KNEW wouldn't work(which is rare because not many phlebotomists listen to the patient because they "know how to do their job"). We talked about my strange experiences with other phlebotomists. It was just an amazing visit all around! I would definitely recommend this office, I already sent a family member their way! Thank you all again
