A lot of them know me by name and will go grab the items I have on hold before I even get up to the counter. It's not just me I also see them treating other patrons the same way. It's really a pleasant experience. They aren't a very large library but once you're a member you have access to all of the libraries in Ocean County. If you set up an account online you can browse through thousands of books and DVDs and magazines and just about anything you can think of. Just click a button and they will have whatever you want from another Branch shuttled to plumsted. I don't have television but I do have a DVD player. You can take out up to 30 DVDs at a time! That's right I said 30 DVDs at a time. It's always free there's no charge. Unless of course you're late returning them. Some DVDs you can have out for 3 days but if you'd like to keep them longer just go online and renew. Some DVDs you can have that out for 3 weeks that's right 21 days that's fantastic! All I can tell you is I've been a member for about 6 years and I still have not run out of DVDs to watch. I don't miss TV and that cable bill at all. And did I mention occasionally I get a book! They also have a very large selection of audio books which is great because I drive a lot and love listening to them in my car. I do have to admit I wish that they were open early in the morning everyday of the week but it is what it is. I highly recommend becoming a member of the Ocean County Library and I love this branch!
