I worked with Tara for almost two years. She made me feel very comfortable and was always accommodating when I had to cancel or reschedule my appointment. She gave me many skills to help me when I was struggling with my mental health. I am sad that I will no longer be her client because I am moving to Florida. Thank you Tara for all of your help! I’ve been a client of this practice for 3 years now. Finding a provider can be overwhelming and I appreciate the way Sean (the coordinator), was very patient and helpful in the process. Sean met me where I was, learned more about me, and really took the time to help me find someone. He also continued to encourage me throughout the process and followed up with me after first sessions. That’s what makes this practice so unique in my opinion. I never feel like “too much” for advocating my needs and asking for assistance. The staff is very kind and friendly too. They respond quickly, take the necessary steps to provide me the best care and make sure that I am ACTIVELY a part of my care. I also appreciate the tools available in the office such as art materials and other sensory tools. The staff continues to meet me where I am whether that’s where I am in life, its circumstances, or with the cost of treatment. They are truly one amazing team and I can not speak highly enough about them. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
The therapists here are so genuinely kind and helpful. I've been in and out of therapy most of my life, but feel like I never REALLY been able to receive the help I needed until I started seeing my therapist at North Star Counseling. My therapist Diana is such a blessing, and really made such a difference in helping me to get control over my anxiety and just lowering my stress levels. Diana went on maternity, which at first I was really scared because I didn't want to just start all over with someone else.
Between Diana, the really nice admin staff, and the owner himself, they seamlessly were able to transfer me to another extraordinary therapist within the practice, Alyssa, who I am able to see every week until Diana returns. And she is awesome too! They really made it so easy, as I didn't have to start from scratch with finding a new therapist who takes my insurance (ugh). Diana and Alyssa were also able to connect too before the transfer so that I could pretty much just pick up where I left off. I also love how easy it is to schedule and ask questions as I can just text the office and they always respond immediately. Why can't all doctors offices be like this?! So grateful.
I have to say, out of all the therapist I have seen in my lifetime, North Star Counseling and staff have helped me grow significantly over the past 6 months. I have been seeing one therapist who has helped me with trauma and fear. She is a blessing and a wonderful individual. Sean and Jordan are simply amazing and helpful. I have grown more within 6 months here at North Star then with anyone else. Thank you......
