  I work across the street and needed a muffler repair. I called and spoke to the owner Khalid who was very friendly and knowledgeable. The staff was great and they were able to have my car fixed and ready for me to ride home. Honest pricing and great, fast work. North Star will be my go-to from here on out!

  Five star service from North star! Khaled is a gem to Congers and he is a great mechanic. His work is through and his prices are the best in town hands down. I have been frequenting this business for years and I haven’t had one bad experience with them. They don’t try to nickel and dime you like other repair shops. I really feel they look out for their customers, which is so hard to find these days.
  
  I was originally repairing my car at the first location on Lake rd and then when they relocated to their new building, I made sure to follow them. It’s so hard to find honest, dependable , reliable, and trustworthy mechanics like you find here.

  In this area there are several auto body and repair shops in a row which makes it easy to compare prices and get multiple estimates (if your car is still running).
  
  A neighboring shop wanted around 50% more money to do the same repair. I informed the owner of North Star that I wanted a second opinion because my previous estimate seemed high.
  
  Because the price quoted was so reasonable here compared to the other shop, as well as being a good deal based on research using online pricing tools, I chose North Star.
  
  The work was done at precisely the price quoted. The staff even did some additional work in removing and repositioning a stuck seat, a somewhat difficult project that they did not even charge me labor for.
  
  The car is running better than ever after a week of having it back. Feels smooth and nimble again even at 152k.
  
  All around good experience.
  
  Highly recommended.
