"FIRE AT CHRIS NOE'S HOUSE." No need to give the address everyone knows where my house is.
It was 20 degrees and all 3 fire companies arrived and extinguished the fire. Pat Rogers took a picture just before they hit it with water. If you ever see the picture you'd say this house is a goner, done, raze it.
My insurance company gave me enough money with 'structure, contents and loss of use' to raze the tiny house but I chose to rebuild the 1830 timber frame structure. Looking back it was the right thing to do at the time but I should have used that as my exit from Darien.
Over 40 firefighters responded and chased the fire in the walls with thermal imaging. When it was all over a couple stuck around the help board it up.
The funny part was the motorcycle hanging on the side of the house was full of gas. The woodstove in the house was going the whole time but these guys are professionals and focused on the fire.
