  Place is great for hiking and mountain biking. Mostly for me I live to hike and hunt this area. Trails are easy to identify and Dec rolls through all the time to check the area. Just letting everyone know that red trail is an illegal trail. Permits were not pulled and safety measures were not checked when completed. So becareful if you do walk , bike , or hunt around it

  Great view at the top on the tower. Trails are somewhat marked. With a bit more effort this could be a great area for hiking rather than just pretty good. Also..keep in mind there are trails on both sides of gipsy trail road. I will say this..it was not crowded at all on a hot august saturday.

  Love this place not too far from civilization yet you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere and it’s a great shot hike up to the fire tower walking up the road or you can also take the really nice trail on your right up the road a little bit to the fire tower also my favorite time to go to the fire tower is early morning before sunrise on a foggy morning watching the clouds swim around you as the sunrises is so beautiful especially in early fall when all the leaves have just change color! No matter what time of the year it’s a beautiful place to just come to enjoy nature and see the views

  A great view of the area with the fire tower, but beware of windy days as it can be pretty open to the elements. Crowds can also be higher in the fire tower trail, overall the trail to it is easy to walk and is wide. The other hiking trails have significantly less people with a dense amount of marked trails to enjoy.
