  I have never met a sweeter, more compassionate funeral director & wife. They go above & beyond what I've experienced in the past, which I always thought was fine but Erik & his wife go the extra mile. My brother in law looked healthier & more "alive" then when we had seen him a year ago. No heavy caked on, fake looking make-up. Thank you for all you did and are still doing to help my sister & her family through this time of loss. Thank you personally for the hug !

  It has been hard to put into words the amount of tremendous empathy that Mr. and Mrs. Schneider showed us when our mother suddenly passed away. They made us feel like family and not like it was just business to them. They understood where we were coming from and accommodated our needs without a blink of an eye. With such a beautiful location, many family and friends were able to attend the wake. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone involved was well taken care of during such an emotional time. Erik and his wife gifted us with a quilt that had a picture of us with our mother which was a lovely tribute to her memory. We can not thank them enough for all that they did for us and we will forever be grateful we called Newbaker Funeral Home.

  In 2021, my mom passed after a long illness. My mom was always the one who handled this sort of thing, so with her passing, my dad took care of it despite it being such a difficult time. Glenn and the whole team at Newbaker were all absolutely wonderful, compassionate, gentle, and beyond helpful.
  
  Fast forward to a few week ago, and my dad passed unexpectedly, so we (the kids) called Newbaker and found it was under new ownership. Erik (the new owner) is every bit as wonderful, knowledgeable, and genuine as Glenn the previous owner. Erik is kind, so compassionate, knows just what to say, and it never feels like a script or just a job. You can tell that he and his staff feel called to give back to the community in this very personal and beautiful way, in people's time of need.
  
  Erik explained everything so clearly, we never felt rushed, or like our questions were dumb. He is a true, kind soul and we are beyond grateful for everything he and his staff did.
  
  Losing someone is never easy, but when you have a funeral director like Erik at your side handling things, you can focus on grieving.
  
  (Yes, I know this review sounds extra flowery and over the top, but this is all very fresh for me and my family. I'm beyond grateful for their services.)

  Erik and his wife did a fantastic job handling my dad's funeral. His attention to details and compassion throughout the process made for a beautiful service. There was nothing for my family and I to worry about with the service, Erik had everything under control and exceeded our expectations for the service and all the arrangements that were made.

  I recently lost both of my parents about 8 months apart and Newbaker Funeral Home helped our family through these difficult times. Erik is a true professional and worked with us to organize services for both parents. As stressful as it is to plan a wake and funeral for your parents, Erik takes much of the burden away. He walked us through the process and made recommendations that helped to ease our burden and make things a little easier in a difficult situation. I am thankful that Erik and his team were there for me and my family.
