(August 15, 2023, 1:09 pm)New York Camera and Video is an excellent store that has a good selection of both digital camera products and good old fashioned film, as well as kind people who work there that clearly know what they are talking about and are willing to share their knowledge. Also, props to them for being willing to help with certain things without always trying to make a profit- shows that they really care about photographer and their customers. That's why I am always happy and proud to spend money at a place like New York Camera.

(August 5, 2023, 2:33 am)Amazing customer service, knowledgeable staff, huge inventory, and reasonable prices. Definitely a 5-star business based on my experience here. I came here for the first time a couple weeks ago to rent a camera, lens, and gimbal. Not only did they help me select everything I needed immediately upon my arrival, but the pricing was significantly cheaper than their competitors. What really made me give this place five stars was when the manager/owner (I'm assuming), waived some of the rentals fees after we shared a conversation about camera-stuff. I will absolutely recommend this place to others and I certainly will be back!

Had some trouble with a film camera. Thought a clean and check might do the trick so brought into them. They found the problem might be electronically and require a lot more work. So they let me cancel and let me save 40.
Money that was put towards a new camera. Most of my film will now be developed there. The film i have had developed there has come out looking great and I got the scans emailed the very next day. I can not recommend this place enough -

(May 5, 2023, 4:51 pm)We have been fans and customers of New York Camera for over 30 years. We have always always always gotten superb customer service: friendly, efficient, knowledgeable , personal. We have never been steered wrong by anyone, but especially Frank, who is a fountain of knowledge. He, and his staff do not try to sell you anything and everything….he and they discuss what you want to do and show you how to accomplish that without incurring extra expense. They will not steer you wrong, they will not lie to you. Tell me, how often can someone say that they are rock solid sure that the integrity of a store and the honesty of its staff is intact for all these years? This store is just such a place.

(April 24, 2023, 5:43 pm)Absolutely fantastic and prompt service. I brought approx 3,500 slides and photos to NY Camera to be digitised. They (and a fellow called Todd in particular) did a great job -- excellent quality, fast turnaround and reasonably priced. Plus, everyone in the store is so helpful and nice.
