  New York Boat Company is like the friend we all want because they own a boat. And not just any boat, but one that's big enough for you and all your friends. One that takes you across and through the Hudson River, which I've appreciated from afar for years but never traversed. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the Evening Star boat is clean and tidy yet gives passengers the sense that it has seen many adventures. Whether you're new to the Hudson River Valley or a long time resident looking to experience this place in a different way, do yourself a favor and book the sunset cruise. There's nothing like the fresh sights, sounds, and smells of being on the water.

  This was my fourth or fifth time taking the 1.5 hour tour to the Bear Mountain Bridge and each one has been a completely enjoyable experience. The crew (most recently Captain Austin and second Captain/deckhand Bob) have mastered the delicate balance of just enough attention without being overwhelming; the narration is perfect--informative, funny, and not constant talking. Bob is constantly circulating around the deck to ensure that everyone's questions are answered and food/beverage needs are met. The boat is always spotless and smiles are everywhere. The trip can't be beat, and the price is exceptionally reasonable! I'll keep coming back for more!

  Such a nice experience. The boat had modern benches and although they were flat, they were not uncomfortable. Decent variety of drinks, although I wish they offered hot chocolate or coffee under their warm drink options. I also wish they had more snack options, there was only popcorn. Overall a nice tour and the crew was great. Lots of parking near the dock.
