  Being a kidney cancer survivor, I’ve been to a lot of doctors offices in my day so I have a good basis to compare services. Dr. Tortland’s entire staff from the front desk to the doctors to the assistants all provide exceptional customer service. I always feel valued and appreciated as a patient every time I interact with Carla or Christy to schedule an appointment. If I have to leave a message, they always return my call. When I arrive at the office, I’m consistently greeted with a warm professional smile and treated respectfully.
  
  Recently, I was in to get my knee drained. In Dr. Tortland’s absense, his associate, Dr. Alex did an exceptional job. She was fantastic! Amber, her assistant, also did an phenomenal job acting as my comforter, talking to distract me from the needle and allowing me to squeeze her hand. I thank all of you for taking good care of me!

  Dr Tortland, and everyone from his associates to front desk staff, are the most caring group of knowledgeable professionals I’ve met in a clinical setting. I’ve been exposed to many, personally and professionally.
  
  It’s Dr Tortland that clearly sets this example for his staff….and in my opinion, sets the bar for his peers as well.
  
  The world would benefit from doctors who combine skillful practice with honesty, wisdom, and compassion. Don’t hesitate to seek services with this incredible group of humans! I am beyond grateful I did.

  Dr Tortland was nothing short of amazing. I had a bone spur surgically removed. I was told by the surgeon that I had frayed ligaments and Rotator Cuff surgery should be considered. I reserarched stem cell treatment and found Dr Tortland. He explained exactly what he would do and the end results. I followed his instruction to the letter and am PAIN FREE. I play golf 3-4 times a week, lift my grandchildren, workout and do not have any pain. He was fantastic. Worth every penny to be able to enjoy my retirement. His staff was wonderful too.

  I was misdiagnosed by a orthopedic surgeon at UConn and a radiologist. When coming to this office it took them less than 2 minutes looking at the same MRI to diagnose me with a dislocated shoulder and a tear in the rotator cuff. I was in pain for 7 months and unable to sleep. Dr Tortland and his PA have turned my life around. I don't know what I would have done without them. If your in pain do yourself a favor and make an appointment right away. Everyone there is just amazing and understanding.
  I just can't thank them enough.

  Friendly staff, well-run office. Dr. Tortland has several therapies to offer his patients to ensure he can provide them with some relief from both joint and nerve pain. He is very knowledgeable, technically skilled, and takes the time required to ensure his patients are well-informed about the treatment options available to them.
