(July 30, 2023, 3:57 pm)Staff are knowledgeable and very hospitable. They gave umbrellas to visitors to borough since it was raining the day I visited. You can tour the basement, ground and second floor. The grounds are fashioned after the garden at Versailles.

(July 11, 2023, 11:51 pm)The gardens feel like Versailles and the interior of the mansion feels like Schönbrunn. Truly a stunning palace, a hidden gem here in Delaware! Definitely consider stopping by, there is fascinating history here and it is truly a great experience.
P.S. the staff are extremely friendly and helpful -

(June 1, 2023, 7:54 pm)The mansion and its gardens are simply beautiful. The guides inside the mansion are super informative about the history of the DuPont’s family. Prepare to spend at least 3 hours to be able to tour everything. Super recommended, you can feel a bit of Versailles on this visit.

(May 27, 2023, 9:27 pm)The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. It was inexpensive to get in, so anyone can afford to take their family. We spent about 3 hours there. The walk and steps were not strenuous. There is so much history and beauty. It's a must see.

If you take a survey before entering and before leaving, they will give you a flower kit to take home!
Plenty of bathrooms around the grounds. They have bottled water for guests in the chauffeur garage.
