  If you want to learn music, this is where you need to go. Great teachers and welcoming atmosphere. A true hidden gem in Manalapan. Special shout-out to Joe, Mikey and James. Thanks for all the help over the years!

  I can’t say enough about James and his staff. My son joined Rockshop after taking guitar lessons at Musicians workshop for a few years with Ron. James truly loves the kids and what he does and the kids love him. He’s amazing and so is the entire staff!

  Just a few quick thoughts about my experience with Musicians Workshop..
  - This place is super unique and a staple in Monmouth county. You wouldn’t know it driving by, but there’s a rich history of world class musicians who have been through the doors, including the owner!
  - The owner, James, is an awesome guy, guitar player and teacher. He’s been in the business his whole life and knows more about music than anyone I’ve ever met. There’s a reason he’s constantly booked for lessons and that his Rock Shop (band-building workshops) have so many bands and gigs
  - Their gear selection is great and constantly improving. Not to mention they’re now one of the only Duesenberg dealers on the East Coast. I mean seriously.. this guitar plays even better than it looks!!
  
  This shop is worth a stop any day of the week.

  My nephew has been taking guitar lessons here for years. The teacher/owner is great with kids of all ages and they do a lot for their students. My nephew is learning so much and is very good. I attribute it equally to his teacher at Musician's Workshop and his own dedication and practice.

13 reviews of Musicians Workshop "One of the coolest REAL music stores left in New Jersey. Great guitar selection,prices and repair man. I recently saw the Smithereens guitars being setup there before they went on the road with Tom Petty. I also heard a bunch of 10 year old kids playing on their stage that they were training that sounded better than most cover bands!
