Dr. Moshe Zutler is living embodiment of the physician’s guiding maxim
non-maleficence “First, do no harm” and beneficence (do good). I'd been diagnosed 4 or 5 years ago with narcolepsy and cataplexy; the latter of which has become completely debilitating the last 2 years. Yet for the past year and a half I chose not to receive any treatment at all after being treated out of the gate by the providers in a different sleep medicine practice with such automatic distrust and distain as if all narolepsy / cataplexy patients were nothing but low-life, drug-seeker junkies.
So it was such a HUGE breath of fresh air to meet Dr. Zutler, a provider who authentically listens, genuinely cares and treats patients with dignity, humanism and compassion which should be part and parcel of being a medical provider. I was so relieved after my first visit with Dr. Zutler in fact that I literally sat in the parking lot and cried tears of joy!
