  AMAZING! If you’re looking for a trail ride that goes above and beyond, look no further! Jen at Mortonhouse Farm offers a personalised and delightful experience for riders of all skill levels. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, and the horses are all treated with the utmost care and love.
  
  My boyfriend and I have two different experience levels when it comes to riding: I took lessons for years when I was younger and recently returned to weekly lessons while he had only ridden a little bit as a child and had not ridden since then. I mention this because, despite this difference, we both learned and had a blast! (If you’ve never booked a trail ride before, know that they aren’t all like this! This place is over an hour away from us, but I did my research and could tell it would be special.)
  
  Mortonhouse Farm really made my boyfriend’s birthday this year memorable, just like I had hoped. If you have a loved one who loves horses, I highly recommend booking something for them here. My boyfriend and I are both looking forward to returning when we have improved more as riders! :]

  I have never had an amazing experience like this in my life. I have been horseback riding numerous times in many different states. I learned to ride a different way one that was much more humane to the horses. I learned to trust in my horse. Jen is the most caring horse owner, trainer I have ever met. It was just her and I on a 1.5 trail ride. I had a blast. The property is beautiful and so clean. I can’t wait to come back next year. I can’t speak highly enough about Mortonhouse farms.

  Having spent over 13 years working at various horse farms, stables, and private barn owners - I can say for certain the Mortonhouse is one of the best! The care and compassion that Jen has for her own animals and her boarders really shows. Jen practices and teaches natural horsemanship which is focused on communication, trust, and understanding, both with her horses and with her riders. As a vet myself, I can attest that Jen does all she can to look after her animals and will always put them first! Her lessons and trail rides are amazing experiences and a great way to both learn and have a blast!

  I have been around horses for most of my life (nearly 20 years). In the short time that I have known Jen (about 3 years), I have learned exponentially more about horse behavior, equine nutrition, training, and riding. Jen Mills is extremely knowledgeable on everything equine! She takes care of all her animals as if they were her own children. Every step that she takes in working with her animals takes into consideration the ethics and compassion for each life that lives on the farm. I would absolutely trust Jen with the care of my own animals, after seeing how wonderfully she treats her own and other clients’ animals. Bonus points, Jen gives INCREDIBLE trail rides! Most EPIC I have ever had! 10/10 recommend Jen for all your horsey needs!

  Amazing place; horses look really well looked after and Jen is just absolutely incredible. Jen is a good teacher and loves these horses, very passionate about what she does and provides an excellent riding session no matter if you’re a new rider or experienced. There is plenty of track to cover and the farm is beautiful. Will deffo visit again. Thanks for having us, Jen!
