(January 14, 2020, 5:50 pm)We purchased a custom milled 12"x6"x16' beam from Moore's Sawmill, for the Manchester Land Trust's Cider Barn.
We had a rotten beam at the pole barn, and it needed to be replaced. The board of directors wanted to keep with sawn lumber rather than an engineered beam.
Attached are pics of the beam we got from Moore's, and the install of the product.
This sawmill is the only place around here that I know of to get a product like this. So it was well worth the cost and convenience.
Highly recommend this business, and we're happy to keep our money local. -

Stopped in randomly before Christmas and the owner took about 30 minutes out of his time to walk me around, show me everything, and give me some history about the place. Brought my kids back the next day to see the sawmill in action, which was not something you get to see that often. If you're looking for a mantle, flooring or slabs using local wood I'd highly recommend stopping in.

(November 29, 2017, 6:41 pm)Have just returned from this great place with a load of lumber. It is quite nice to know that we actually got the true footage of all the boards. Not like the Big stores that sell lumber with a .5" off the width and length. The owners of this yard are quite nice and definitely gentlemen. It is quite refreshing to be met by people that honestly want to know you; and are extremely proud of their products. The elder owner practically smiled the whole time showing us his products. His sons also. Also, nice to know that they return calls the same day or next morning. Not the next week or so. We will definitely buy all our lumber from them from now on. It is American owned and USA built.
