  I joined MBJJ exactly one year ago with no experience and brand new. All of the kids there welcomed me with open arms and made me feel right at home. Since beginning, I have gained the confidence to compete already alongside the best teammates and with the support of Coach Max and Professor Miguel. There are so many kids and teen classes and I'm able to go almost every day to train. My team and everyone at MBJJ have become like my family and I look forward to getting better with the help and support of my team. Everyone interested in JJ should try Montgomery and I promise you will love it.

  Our daughter wanted to try a martial art, first asking about karate. We did the one day trial class, and she was hooked. One year later she never wants to miss a class, she’s built confidence, carrying herself in a positive manner, her academics have improved, and she looks people right in the eye. She took a bad experience from a few years ago and has turned it around. The coaches have been wonderful, especially Max, and professor Miquel, and the senior/adult students work with the younger ones, fostering a family atmosphere. From classes to competitions I can’t recommend Montgomery BJJ enough.

  I’ve been at Montgomery for about two years now, coming from another school it was a great atmosphere and everyone was always trying to help me out and make sure I was welcomed without the awkward new guy phase. Can’t imagine being instructed by a better group of people going all the way from Prof. Miguel, Coach Justin, Max, Victor. All extremely knowledgeable.

  Great school that’s growing fast for a reason. Top class training not only from head professor Miguel, but I learn a ton in great classes from coaches Max, Justin, and Victor, so pretty much any class you come to you are going to get valuable experience. The environment here is welcoming and has people at all ages, genders, and levels of fitness.
  
  No matter who you are you can start training here. I’m no competitor but I’ve gotten into much better shape in my time here.
  
  On the flip side if you’re looking to compete, you can’t do much better than here. Tom DeBlass affiliate school, and not just in name. I’ve attended free classes with some big names, including Tom DeBlass himself. And if you’re really looking for great seminars we’ve had top competitors like Gordon Ryan in here for a big seminar at a great price for students. Professor Miguel was recently named head referee for ADCC America, and all of this experience shows in the tough competitors that train here.

  My daughter began attending Montgomery Brazilian Jiu Jitsu about a year ago. I never thought my shy kiddo would learn self defense but figured I would try! Not only is she learning, but she is thriving, loving it and eventually wants to compete one day. I couldn’t thank the coaches Miguel, Max, Steven and Lionel enough for understanding my daughter’s learning style, providing guidance, helping her to feel confident and safe while learning what I believe is a detrimental life skill! She is not only learning the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu! She’s learning what it means to be a supportive team mate, how to cope with life’s challenges and how to face them head on with support and guidance! This establishment is a gem to our community that we are so lucky to have!
