I built this off the grid GOLD LEED CERTIFIED GREEN BUILDING (Awarded for energy efficiency and homeopathic building materials) from the ground up. We spared no expense to create a training hall that brings the best out in people. As I child psychologist (Psi Chi honorary psychology society member) I have leveraged my degree to overcome my own deafness and become an International ranked 2nd place Kumite finalist in our 28 country world wide karate federation. I aim to bring the focus, respect and effort to all ages groups from 3 to 100! Some of our greatest practictioners are 70+ years of age and we do not hurt one another because of our decades long dedication to sublime body control. Everyone gets a free week and a uniform when they sign up. I am very sensitive to financial needs of my customers and we do a lot of scholarship work as there is no price you can put on watching a child achieve world class karate status as many of our students have done already. Come join us in our community of love and nurturing and our desire to foster a human spirit worth of dignity and respect. I love you already and I have not met you yet. My son (a twelve year old brown belt) was privileged to be invited to train with the Montclair Shukokai Dojo in NJ during our holiday to the USA in July 2017. What a fabulous dojo and such a friendly crowd we felt right at home. Thank you to Justin and his team from Thoby and Bjørn in Cape Town, South Africa.
This is a great place for children and adults all alike, Sensi Justin motivates each child and provides great knowledge for new children and/or adults! I totally recommend, Unleash The Power Within- SHUKOKAI KARATE.
Awesome place. Clean and well lit with a knowledgeable and caring staff. I took my son here first and then decided it was right for me too. This is THE martial arts school in the area for kids and adults.
Justin and Lynn complement each other perfectly, the other students are lovely, and the environment is both nurturing and disciplined. You must check out this place.
