But I was pleasantly greeted and provided excellent service by the new staff led by Dr Bansi Patel as well. Happy to wish Monalisa continued success.

(February 16, 2023, 4:52 pm)This was my first visit to Mona Lisa Dental, and I was very pleased with the entire operation.
This practice respects your right to make your own medical decisions, and that's important to me. I do not get routine x-rays as I am concerned about accumulated radiation since I've had numerous X-rays, mammograms (don't do those anymore either) and other scans done over my lifetime. I was required to sign a waiver but my wishes were honored.
Also, to my delight they were not requiring masks (despite their messaging to the contrary prior to my appointment). I would have refused due to a medical exemption anyway, but this was just another indication that they respect their patients' rights to bodily autonomy.
In December I had been told by my previous dentist that I needed a painful and expensive "deep periodontal cleaning" in my back two molars. Over the 4 months since my last checkup I was more diligent about flossing/picking and thoroughly brushing, and Dr. Patel said there was no need for any work on these teeth at this time. (I didn't tell him about what the other dentist said; only mentioned I had been having some sensitivity and was trying to be better about flossing.) He also said a couple of other teeth that have some issues are OK for now as well. I really appreciate a dentist who only does what's necessary.
Dental hygienist Vilma was a delight, and did a very thorough cleaning.

Dr. Bansi did my cleaning - he was very gentle and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for quality care!
