Mirmont got me sober. I was in rehab 3 times before this at another facility & all 3 times i would stay sober then a few weeks after being home, id relapse not because they weren’t a good facility, they were great + so lenient i loved them it was almost like a vacation (we called it a college dorm it was also coed) BUT personally that much leniency/freedom was something that wouldn’t work for me. I needed a facility that was more structured. I needed a facility that was for getting sober- rather than just a bubble of protection from the real world. I needed Mirmont. I left Mirmont 3 months ago & not only have i remained sober the entire time because of the tools they sent me home with, but i to this day still actively work the program + help other struggling addicts daily. Of course theres a few people employed there that shouldnt be, & that are uneducated + to be quite frank, disrespectful.(only in it for the $) But the good people employed here outweigh the few bad people here under any circumstances. Tracey (A Counselor) is beyond amazing at what she does, Joe, Ally, Michelle, Ashley & etc are a few of the amazing CAs & The community is family oriented & you leave with so many sober support’s including some staff like the alumni coordinator Carey who is amazing & not only helped me on the inside but months later with an issue on the outside as well. I wanted to leave within 24 hours but by the time my discharge day came around i was begging for an extension. If you or a loved one are struggling, i definitely recommend this place. ( I came from Pittsburgh 5-6hours away ).
Highly recommend Mirmont's programs and have worked closely with them for 10+ years in various capacities. Mirmont's team are deeply committed to patient care and recovery, evidenced by the plethora of services and resources offered to patients throughout their stay. I have been facilitating trauma therapy groups here for many years as well as providing supervision, training, and consultation. Perhaps I am biased, but I believe Mirmont does a better job than most addiction centers in incorporating trauma programming and other specialty services such as relapse prevention groups and pain management services. Would recommend without reservation!
Mirmont was the 3rd rehab that I sent my daughter to and she thoroughly enjoyed it. She felt for the first time that the counselors really cared about her recovery and her mental and physical well-being. She has since relapsed once again unfortunately. If there were ever a place I could send her to try one more time it would definitely be Mirmont. Sadly her insurance won’t cover it & we can’t afford to pay out of pocket.
I had a wonderful experience at Mirmont. From the wonderful nurses to the intake and through the whole rehab treatment. I was educated in all aspects of the disease and left feeling that I could resume my life with the help and tools provided by Mirmont. I had been through rehab previously and found the program less and adequate and ended up relapsing. The Mirmont program was much stronger and really gave me the tools I needed. They were able to work with my insurance so the financial concern were not hanging over my head and I could concentrate on me and my treatment. Wonderful place!
Mirmont has been an amazing experience. This treatment facility has helped me understand more about myself and change the way I view addiction. I felt comfortable from the time I was admitted until my discharge. The nursing staff, clinical aides, counselors, housekeeping and kitchen staff are true professionals and genuinely care about your efforts towards sobriety. 5 Stars!
