  God bless Minas Cafe & Bakery for their signage identifying the ALFAJOR as the baked good of my adult childhood dreams. Google tells us it's from Argentina, and Chile, and I know this is also sold in other Brazilian bakeries even if they don't know what they have: two shortbread cookies (Minas may use graham cracker and cinnamon here), stuffed with just the right amount of dulce de leche filling. Minas dips this cookie sandwich into a thick layer of chocolate which hardens, and artfully drizzles dark chocolate over the whole thing. It's a substantial dessert, perfect with their coffee galao. It really gets you there (plus maybe one other person). It was also so amazing to be able to say, "One Alfajor and one galao, please," and to be perfectly understood instead of being looked at like I have two heads, like what usually happens. The brigadeiros looked nice, too. Good to know they're open til midnight!
  
  As a child my favorite dipped chocolate baked good had been the RING DING, which I wasn't allowed to eat very often. For better or worse, Ring Dings are no longer able to provide the same thrill, and cannot bring me to the same place as before. I need something a little stronger now. I see this product for sale at other Brazilian bakeries but invariably the people working there are unable to identify it by name. (Don't even ask for the 'ring ding'). So now I know. Brilliant.

  My first time here and I am in love with this place the food is delicious and the cappuccino 🥰, the bakery amazing I can seriously come here every day, the staff courteous and very pleasant ❤❤❤❤

  New Brazilian bakery / eatery in Kearny . Has a lot of Brazilian food I had when I was growing up as a kid and it taste pretty good
  
  The inside is super clean and Modern and a very nice atmosphere . Definitely would recommend to take some one on a first date

  As far as bakeries go in Kearny, this is by far the best of them all. I went in around 9 PM today, and I was greeted by the owner himself, Rafael, and his fantastic staff, which, to I would say, is very attentive. I couldn't get many photos while inside, but I did snag a few at home. I ordered the Steak Tudo, and it took me by surprise within the first couple of bites. Once I tackled that I had a few dessert options to choose from (they have many options) and let me tell you the chocolate covered strawberries are fantastic but I was disappointed as I only brought home two of them. The cakes are delicious and they are very generous with their portions (it's always welcomed). I would definitely recommend you stop by and give it a try. Now, while they dont deliver yet I was told they will soon and maybe even be featured on a few delivery platforms we all know, I would still say to stop in and support our new local business.
  
  Kearny was missing something new for a long time, and I'm glad and confident that Rafael and his team will do a great job in providing fantastic service. 👏
