  Michael has enhanced the lives of so many people he has treated over the 7 years I’ve known him. I have referred friends and family with great confidence that his approach will get positive results. Michael mixes the best of assessing issues, nurturing his clients and providing scientific details on how brain chemistry affects every individual diagnosis. That is what separates him as a treater, he has a background in (I believe it is microbiology) science, not just psychology. I have worked in community mental health all of my life, over 33 years now, and have met so many talented behavioral health clinicians, but I can honestly say I’ve never met anyone as knowledgeable, down to earth and effective as Michael.

  Micheal is professional, compassionate, and kind. He is a great listener and a brilliant thinker. I would 100% recommend him.

  Michael is incredible, genuine, and a master in the field. I've had the pleasure of seeing Michael for well over 10 years. First, as an adolescent, and continuing in my later years. I've seen many different therapists, all with different views. Michael is uniquely neutral, applying a more cognitive behavioral look without undermining other therapies, people, or practices. Refreshing and eye opening.
  
  Michael has helped steer myself out of hopelessness, depression, anxiety, and fear. He's also centered me in times of great success. Success, that I largely attribute to having the opportunity to speak with Michael while growing up in a stressful setting.
  
  I'd recommend Michael to anyone, young or otherwise, who is seeking a more balanced approach to therapy. One that prepares you for the uncertainties of the past, present, and future.

  Michael Reiss has been helping my whole family for almost five years now. I can't help but feel he has become a friend even though he's our psychologist. He has helped my wife, my daughter, my son and myself immeasurably and has changed our lives with his knowledge, compassion and empathy. My family has suffered many challenges both psychological and situational in the past ten years or so and I thank God I found someone we can trust with our most delicate and private issues. He also has a terrific sense of humor which really helps leave me in a good place when I need a little dose of reality. That's important to me . . . I can be pretty intense.
  I cannot recommend Michael Reiss enough and consider myself so lucky to know I have someone who really understands me. I'm a pretty complicated guy but somehow he's got me figured out. He knows me much better than I know myself. My wife, my kids and I plan on remaining in his care every time we need help.

  My husband and I were referred to Michael Reiss 4 years ago by a lawyer friend as a last ditch effort to save our marriage, and he did! We saw Michael together and individually. Always supportive and constructive, but also willing to call it as he sees it. He goes above and beyond, willing to change his schedule to accommodate client needs, have a phone conversation, crisis intervention- whatever it takes. After having seen Michael for over a year, my teenage daughter was having some difficulties of her own. I asked Michael if he would see her. To say he has been great with her is an understatement! She was initially unwilling to talk to any professional, but I asked if she would at least meet him. Grudgingly, she did. Now, she looks forward to every session even though the largest issues are behind her. It is a safe place where she can open up about anything she is going through, especially the stuff teens don't want to discuss with mom or dad.
