  Being a Sicilian and previous owner of my own pizzeria it's been a real struggle to find great pizza in this area UNTIL we discovered Mateo's. Fantastic dough, fresh basil, phenomenal sauce, not to mention a very friendly and super clean restaurant. The owner is awesome and greets every customer with a smile. Would I recommend?? Absolutely 1000%. Viva Mateo's!!

  Absolutely superb tomato pie!! Each slice was thin, crisp, and no flop! The sauce had a strong tomato flavor, not sweet whatsoever. Perfect amount of cheese to complete the pie! I would actually recommend Mateo's over the nearby Lillo's Tomato Pies (which I've twice been to). Friendly staff and a spacious dining area made for a wonderful experience! I will be back to Mateo's for sure!

  WOW! Mateo’s is a hidden gem - got their house tomato pie and it was incredible! Wonderfully fresh tomatoes, cheese, and basil on the perfectly crisped thin crust! Can’t wait to come back…like probably tomorrow…

  This place is so wonderful - the staff is kind, the place is clean, and the food especially tastes very fresh. We ordered the special tomato pie, the garlic bread, a side salad, spaghetti and meatballs, and an heirloom tomato salad. The portions are generous, yet we managed to eat almost everything!
  
  We especially noted the freshness of the tomatoes used here - the tomato sauce was umami-filled and bright and even the salad tomatoes had a good texture. Would highly recommend!

  Let's face it, you've tried all of the other pizza shops in the area. You have your favorite... but it's time to try another shop.
  
  The crust is wonderfully thin and crispy. The cheese is evenly spread and the pies are not over sauced. This is a great choice for your pizza on Friday.
  
  The cheese steak is served with whiz and on a sesame roll. The sandwich is STUFFED with meat. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Ask for your whiz on the side to avoid a soggy roll.
  
  The white pie is a stunner. It is so well seasoned and composed that the whole time you're eating it, you smile. There is a beautiful simplicity to the pizza. All the pieces mesh perfectly.
  
  My favorite part, they use FRESH vegetables on their food. Real mushrooms! Like, from a farm. Fresh spinach. Fresh broccoli. 😍
  
  Level up your pizza night. Try this spot. You've been let down too many times by the place you always go to. You deserve this.
