(August 23, 2023, 2:37 pm)Gorgeous historic home and property. I spent the first night sitting on the porch to enjoy the starfilled sky and the amazing sweet scent that filled the air. Truly magical place with a lovely host, beautiful views, yummy breakfast and a real sense of getting away to another place and time.
Would absolutely come back! And I hope to someday! -

(February 2, 2023, 7:59 am)We loved staying at Margaretville Mountain Inn! Carol was wonderful, friendly and made a delicious breakfast. The Inn is beautiful with cozy rooms, and the bed was very comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again!

(January 10, 2022, 10:31 pm)My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay. Loved the cozy victorian style charm of the room. Carol was so friendly and made sure we were comfortable. The breakfasts were great and were a highlight of the day for sure! Beautiful historic house. Will keep this place in mind for visiting in future seasons.

(April 10, 2021, 2:18 am)This was a gorgeous place. It was just after the first snow. Fall in New York, late October. The leaves were beautiful. The rooms and home was beautiful and cozy. Good to be aware that the bathroom was outside of the room, but that's to be expected at a B&B in a very old house.
Gorgeous antiques in the dining room surround you to start the morning. Breakfast was amazing....I still dream of these wonderful warm oatmeal scones. The owner was pleasant but not overly friendly, which was nice on our honeymoon. The owner had fantastic food recommendations, as well (#BestLobsterEver). If you're looking to get away, and actually get away, this is a wonderful place.
Sidenote: The owner went out of her way for us. We left an empty wine bottle out that we had finished off the night before. The cleaning staff understandably thought it was trash, but we actually wanted to save it as it was the wine bottle from our wedding ceremony. The owner happily volunteered to dig it out of the trash for us. I haven't forgotten how much I appreciated that.
